From Emotions to Advocacy

(A Special Education Law Class)

Are you frustrated with your IEP meetings and are left confused and feeling inadequate?

Do you feel that your child is not receiving the supports and services they deserve?

Have you been denied your requests regarding your child’s IEP?

Do you lack knowledge about your parental rights and the rights of your child?

As a parent, you negotiate with the school on your child’s behalf.  To be an effective negotiator, you need to be an expert about your child regarding the IEP process.

This group will help parents gain the knowledge and skills necessary to be effective advocates for their children on IEP’s.
